E&I Contracts

E&I Contracts

Educational and Institutional Cooperative Purchasing (E&I) is a not-for-profit, member owned buying cooperative established by members of the National Association of Educational Procurement (NAEP).  Membership includes over 1500 tax-exempt colleges, universities, prep schools, hospitals, medical research institutions and hospital purchasing organizations throughout the country.  E&I in conjunction with NAEP and the procurement community nationally bids and negotiates contracts to provide the lowest possible pricing for member institutions.  To read more about E&I go to:  http://www.eandi.org/

Participating in the E&I Cooperative Program provides:

  • Strategic sourcing
  • Financial incentives via return of profits to members
  • Broad portfolio of high-quality national and regional contracts from best-in-class suppliers
  • Member-driven competitive solicitation process.

E&I and NAEP joined forces in 1934 and continue to work together to lower the purchase price of goods and services by aggregating the purchasing power of members.

E&I's Supplier Diversity Initiative focuses on delivering superior supplier performance through highly-qualified minority, women, disabled, verteran and service disabled veteran-owned businesses, and small businesses.  We remain committed to sourcing and mentoring disadvantaged business enterprises so that our competitive pool of suppliers mirrors the diverse environment of our members.

E&I and NAEP are dedicated to working together to educate members about sustainable issues and delivering environmental alternatives in our contracts.  Specifically, a Sustainability Committee including representatives from each organization has been created to help promote the principles of green purchasing and environmental stewardship.
