Signage Guidelines
- Signs are to be posted on the green sign boards on campus or on stakes. Sign board locations are noted on the campus map by a solid dot - there are 8 sign boards. Signs near the main entry wall must be posted at/or above the steel campus directional sign.
- Signs are to be confined to campus property ONLY. Campus property is shown on the campus map.
- Signs may NOT be placed on the following roads: Three Chopt Road, any portion of River Road (except the UR Drive entrance marked on the map), and College Road. It is against City and County Law to post signs on these streets. Please be courteous to residents who live on these streets.
- SIGNS ARE NOT TO BE POSTED ON STOP SIGNS, PARKING SIGNS, DIRECTIONAL SIGNS, FLOWER BEDS OR ON TREES, ETC. Signage CANNOT be posted in front of the University of Richmond brick entry wall at the corner of Boatwright and Campus Drive or it will be removed. Signs posted in improper locations will be IMMEDIATELY removed.
- Signs that are used for events for directional purposes need to have the event date indicated on the sign. This date serves as the expiration date. If this date does not appear on the sign there is a possibility that your signs could be taken down before the event occurs.
- If signs are to stay up for more than one day or during inclement weather, consider wrapping them with plastic wrap.
- Signs can be ordered in person or by fax 289-8994 from Printing Services. For more information about the printing of signs call 289-8525. Signs must be ordered at least 3 weeks in advance of the event.
- Stakes can be purchased at Printing Services for a nominal fee.
