Calendar Guidelines
The University of Richmond has a campus-wide calendar in which events for staff, faculty, students and the public may be listed. There are two different calendars, one for the on campus community and one for the general public. Events may be listed on both, one or neither.
The general guidelines for publishing events on the calendar are as follows:
On Campus Calendar: Events which are specific to the University audience are published on the on campus calendar only. Examples include student organization meetings and staff/faculty meetings.
On/Off Campus Calendars: Events which are open to the public are published on both calendars. Examples include athletic contests, lectures and cultural events.
Not Published: Events which are expecting a specific headcount are not published on either calendar. Examples include lunches, dinner and academic classes.
There are exceptions to the above guidelines which can be addressed with the Events Office.
The calendar also has the ability to publish events which do not occur on campus. For any event you wish to publish, please fill out a reservation request form.
