About Us

Events Office

The Events Office schedules, plans and assists all clients in order that each campus event successfully projects the University's commitment to excellence. Our office serves as a campus information source to the University community, manages the I & E channel, maintains a campus wide calendar, books events/space/catering reservations on campus, oversees events set-ups, moves furniture and equipment, and reserves space and coordinates campus events with off-campus customers.

Commencement

The Commencement Office coordinates all aspects of the Commencement Weekend and provides support and information to the University community and the families and friends of University graduates.

Summer Camps and Conferences

Summer Conference and Camp Services collaborate with both internal and external groups in planning and coordinating meetings on the University of Richmond campus. The Conference and Camp office plans and executes a variety of details to achieve the utmost results for your program, event, meeting, or occasion.

Procurement

Procurement strives to assist our customers to identify, select and acquire quality goods and services at competitive pricing. Our staff is committed to excellence and to providing innovative and effective processes that facilitate the procurement process.

Interior Design

  • Furniture and finish needs
  • Space planning consultations

Setups

The Setups Crew moves surplus furniture, equipment and performs moves connected with capital projects or departmental relocations on campus. This crew handles furniture and general equipment setups for most campus events. Additionally, the Setups Crew manages residence hall and apartment furnishings. Students, faculty or staff may request these services by submitting a work order to University Services.
